Electric ball valves are widely used in industrial pipeline systems due to their high degree of automation, good control accuracy, and rapid opening and closing. In order to ensure its safe, stable, and long-term operation, special attention should be paid to the following matters when using it:
Precautions for using electric ball valves
1. Power supply voltage matching
Confirm that the control voltage (such as AC220V, AC110V, DC24V) is consistent with the specifications of the electric actuator.
Wrong wiring is prohibited to avoid burning the motor or control module.
Use a stabilized power supply to prevent voltage fluctuations from damaging the control system.
2. Installation direction and position
Electric ball valves should be installed horizontally with the actuator facing upward for heat dissipation and maintenance.
The installation space should be sufficient for future maintenance or disassembly.
Avoid installation in strong vibration, high humidity, high dust, and strong corrosion environments, and install protective covers or isolation devices when necessary.
3. Medium adaptability
Confirm that the valve body material (such as stainless steel, PVC) and the seal material match the medium (such as water, oil, acid, alkali, and gas).
It is not suitable for fluids containing a large amount of solid particles, impurities or crystals, which will cause the ball to get stuck.
For high-temperature media, high-temperature resistant structures and actuators must be selected.
4. Protection level and explosion-proof requirements
In outdoor or humid environments, actuators with IP67 or higher protection levels must be used.
Explosion-proof electric actuators (such as Ex d IIC T6 level) must be used in flammable and explosive environments.
5. Opening and closing frequency and operation interval
Electric ball valves are not suitable for high-frequency opening and closing occasions. If opening and closing are frequent, it is recommended to use pneumatic ball valves.
It is recommended to set the operation interval time to prevent the motor from overheating or shortening the life of the actuator.
6. Regular maintenance and cleaning
Regularly check whether the cable connection is loose and the insulation is damaged.
Regularly test whether the opening and closing are smooth, whether there is jamming, and abnormal noise.
If an abnormality (such as opening and closing failure, running too slowly) is encountered, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
